Subnautica crash-dives onto mobile with deep-sea survival challenge
  • Subnautica brings deep sea survival on an alien world to mobile
  • Experience a dense storyline, survive the deeps and even create your own sub!
  • Horror and wonder collide in equal measure in the depths

In the annals of survival-crafting, there are few entries as iconic as Subnautica. Even more than a decade since it first launched into early access, I can't think of anything that comes close to depicting such an alien underwater world. And now, you can take that deep-sea experience into your hands as Subnautica is available now to buy on mobile!

When the deepspace colony ship, the Aurora, suddenly crashes on the planet 4546B, you end up completely alone on an alien world covered almost entirely with water. Your only companion is your somewhat useful AI and a futuristic fabricator that can create anything you need to survive (as long as you have the materials).

Your objective? Survive. Because the life on this planet goes drastically from guppies to the dreaded Leviathan-class predators that haunt the ocean depths. You'll need to craft new tools, gather resources and discover blueprints, allowing you to craft everything from a survival knife and better flippers up to your own personal submarine.

Gone fishin'

Subnautica comes with both the original survival mode, as well as freedom and creative mode for a more laid-back experience. Content-wise it's jam-packed with numerous undersea biomes to explore, tools and craft to discover, and an entire enigmatic storyline that deals with the fact that 4546B may not be as uninhabited as it first seems.

Subnautica is easily recommended, although given the lavish undersea graphics you'll likely want to break out your gaming phone for this one. But in terms of fun that'll make even the longest of long-haul flights fly by, you can't get much better!
