Warframe finally leads Android players to the promised land with open beta coming this Fall

  • Visit the past to a tentative peace between Sentients and Orokin
  • The Devil's Triad introduces the next two Protoframes
  • Android Beta FINALLY kicks off this fall

It’s been another year of interesting panels, spectacular cosplay, and the first TennoConcert as TennoCon 2025 winds to a close. We learned about the next big update, new Protoframes, Prime Access, the Fall Update and more, so let's dive right in.

The time that all Android users have been waiting for is almost upon us: the Android Closed Beta. It will land this fall, and you can finally sign up on the Android webpage, finally. Having tried out one of the demo units, I can confirm it runs like a dream.

The Old Peace, launching later this year, will finally take us to Tau, in a way. We will be diving into the past, to a period of fragile peace between the Sentients and Orokin. The livestream introduced us to the Tenno childhood Sentient friend, Adis, as well as the ongoing conflict between the Orokin, their creations, and the Dax Anarch Warriors.

You might have noticed during the show that the Operator has had a bit of a glow-up. That is thanks to the Operator Remaster. This adds increased visual fidelity to the character models and cosmetic assets, as well as new facial animations to bring our character more in line with Warframe's beautiful graphics.

You can celebrate this launch by picking up the Valkyr Heirloom Cosmetic from July 21st, and keep your eyes peeled for Caliban Prime Access, heading our way before The Old Peace launches.

We also got a glimpse of the new Tauron Focus, which brings a massive new ultimate ability for the Operator. The information is a little sparse on this for now, with more to follow. What we do have a lot of news on is the upcoming Devil’s Triad side story. This centres on three characters: Father Lyon Allard, Harrow’s Protoframe, Marie Leroux, Wisp’s Protoframe, and the demonic-looking Uriel Warframe.

Sometime this fall, we'll get the Untitled Fall Update. This mysteriously titled bundle will bring a Mod tutorial quest named The Teacher, developed with Sumo Digital. Here, you can learn how to master modding. Oberon will benefit from a rework, Lavos will pack a fresh deluxe skin, and there will be a few more quality-of-life improvements, which will be revealed in the September Devstream.

Finally, Tau. We might be visiting it in the past, but come 2026, we will be heading there for real in the upcoming Tau Narrative Chapter. Until then, download Warframe from the App Store, and get ready for a whole lot of fun later this year.
