Developer DoubleBee and publishers rokaplay and Headup are taking things literally when it comes to digging deep, as they're set to launch A Game About Digging A Hole on mobile later this month.
As you might expect from the title, it's basically all about digging underground endlessly. If you're thinking there's an underlying twist to it, it's simply as it says on the tin - you dig a hole, find some goodies and possibly rare finds, then sell all your discoveries for resources. You can then use these to upgrade your gear, which, in turn, will help you dig even deeper - and the cycle begins anew.
What might appeal to fans of these kinds of lovable time-wasters is that there's no pressure to keep up with anything or anyone - you dig at your own pace, and there's absolutely no rush to get to whatever you're trying to get to. It's an odd but compelling core loop, especially since there seems to be plenty of secrets to uncover as well.
