Talofa Games has officially announced that Monster Walk is now in early access, inviting you to get up and get moving to explore faraway fantasy lands on your mobile device. Essentially, as you walk in real life, you'll earn steps that you can use to power up your gameplay in Monster Walk. This means using your actual steps to collect creatures, create bonds and meaningful encounters, and do battle to cause some magical mayhem. You'll also need steps to earn resources and build your base, which means that to get ahead in the game, you'll need to get moving in the real world too.

Of course, this kind of chill mechanic lets you progress at your own pace, with no toxic competitive pressures or sneaky GPS trackers. Fitness should be fun, after all, so whether you're mindfully walking to grab a cup of coffee from your favourite cosy cafe or getting some cardio in on your morning commute, your steps count - literally and figuratively.

“Monster Walk is a welcoming RPG experience designed for the next generation of gamers, no matter their fitness level. It’s about turning everyday movement into something joyful and rewarding,” says Jenny Xu, CEO of Talofa Games. “It is the next step in our vision of making games for good.”

If that sounds like your cup of tea, you can get first dibs on Monster Walk by pre-registering for the early access, available on both Android and iOS. Fans in the UK, CA, SE, NO, AU, FI, and DK can join in today, with other regions rolling out too in the near future.
