SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit debuts endless mode, with special themed crossovers in Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle
  • Unlock SpongeBob-themed skins in Snake.io+
  • Race through Bikini Bottom in Crossy Road Castle
  • Test your skills in the new SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit endless mode

He certainly isn't living in a pineapple under the sea anymore as SpongeBob SquarePants takes over a series of Apple Arcade games this summer. In particular, Apple Arcade exclusives Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle will be welcoming SpongeBob to the fray with some special collab events, which means you can expect to stumble upon Bikini Bottom's most famous residents for a limited time.

For the former, you can clear special missions to unlock themed skins, which, on top of our favourite patty-flipping pal, include Patrick, Sandy, and even the not-so-evil Plankton. This will run until August 25th.

Crossy Road Castle's co-op platformer, on the other hand, lets you speed through 40 new levels themed after Bikini Bottom while steering clear of jellyfish and collecting Krabby Patties at the same time. There are two events to take note of here: the Krabby Patty Kollectathon event that launches today, and the Jellyfish Jam that will kick off on August 4th and run through August 17th.

Of course, SpongeBob himself will be front and centre in SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit by Nickelodeon with a new endless mode. Honestly, being able to slide and bounce through a side-scroller as SpongeBob is all the motivation I need.

If those new collabs have piqued your interest, you might want to take a little peek at our definitive list of Apple Arcade games for more. In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit on Apple Arcade, which costs £6.99 a pop for a monthly subscription (with a free trial for the first month).
